February Theatre Highlights in Budapest

My goodness, what a month January has been! It’s amazing to think we are in February 2026 already, with a winter that feels like the sun was hijacked months ago! Let us know the ransom; we’ll collect to pay it!

The theatre scene is luckily not as doom and gloom as the weather. We often receive messages and inquiries about what is happening on the English theatre front, so we thought it’s about time we do a monthly shout-out about things happening in Budapest.

Although BET does not have any production running until May, our friends and colleagues from other groups and venues seem to have a very busy English schedule for February!

Catch Brody House’s Laugh Brody Laugh 4th February at Brody House! They promise a double headliner night with Adam Bloom & Samantha Day, hosted by Dave Thompson. Two shows, one ridiculously funny Wednesday! Tickets through Cooltix. There will be two shows, so very convenient!

New kids in town who caught our attention, is the Mafia Teatro Budapest English club! It’s a role-playing game. They are playing in a fictional city where the citizens oppose the Mafia. When night falls, the Mafia murders a citizen. During the evening, everyone votes and tries to figure out who the murderous players are. Happening Saturday, 7th February at the Goulash & Langosh bar from 18:00. Some door charges might apply. Contact them through their social media for more detail.

Look out for ANT Collective’s new productions this coming Sunday, 8th of February. Coober Pady – a new play in English. It’s on at Három Halló / Drei Raben. A new and original English language play created by ANT Theatre Company and under direction of Tibor Gede. Our very own Martin O’Regan will be performing in it as well! Get your ticket and more info at Tixa

The 21st of February sees yet another fun Russian Roulette at Brody House presented by GrundSzínház! A cocktail of fate, folly, and finely tuned chaos. Russian Roulette is part scripted, part improvised, and entirely up to you. Enter a darkly comic world of sketch, satire, and improvisation where the audience keeps their finger firmly on the trigger. Expect masks, music, mischief, and a sense that anything—truly anything—might happen.

No two nights are the same. No moment is guaranteed. Take your seat, choose your fate, and spin at your own risk. Get your Tickets here!

Even more exciting news is that BET will welcome Roger Petlzman to Budapest in May! You can read all about it here! And keep a lookout for news on AUDITIONS happening soon too!

Please share all these events around on your own social pages. The more demand, the better Budapest’s offerings will become!
